Autograph letter signed with initials : Farnham, to Joan Severn, "Wednesday" [1919] Mar. 5.

Thanking her for her last letter; saying she must be quite fatigued after the recent Ruskin Centenary [February 8, 1919]; saying how saddened she was by the death of Lady Ritchie and adding "There is nothing surprising in the death of a woman of 82; but there was so much [illegible] vitality about her that one could not connect the idea of Old Age, with all its uglinesses & disabilities with her...I feel sadly impoverished by her loss & shall miss her letters."
